Vice Principal and Dean of the Faculty of Human Happiness
KUROKAWA Hakuun
黒川 白雲
Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1966. Graduated from the School of Political Science and Economics at Waseda University. Completed the doctoral program at the Graduate School of Chiba University of Commerce and earned a Ph.D. in Policy Studies. After serving with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, he joined Happy Science in 1991. He has held various leadership positions, including Director of the Guidance Bureau and Director of the Personnel Bureau. Since April 2015, he has served as Vice Principal and Dean of the Faculty of Human Happiness at Happy Science University. He is also a lecturer at the Happy Science Headquarters.**
His publications include Intellectual Happiness Organization, Fundamental Issues in Comparative Happiness Studies, What Is a Human Being? (co-author), HSU Textbook 5: Introduction to Happiness Studies—What Is True Happiness?, The Age of Salvation Has Arrived, Aspiring to Become a Leader of Salvation, and An Introduction to Human Happiness Studies (co-author), among others.

International Course
Striving for Global Development
Students cultivate their language skills, ability to share the teachings, ability to express their opinions, and communication skills in order to become internationally-minded individuals—such as international missionaries and global business professionals—who will play an active role on the world stage toward the salvation and happiness of all humanity.
In addition to the courses offered in the Human Happiness Course, students can study the following fields.
Global Elite Program
Intensive Presentation and Debate Training
From the second through fourth years, students undergo four levels of practical training in presentation and debate. Beginning with the fundamentals of presentations—including structure, body language, and voice modulation—students thoroughly develop their presentation skills through hands-on practice, including techniques for delivering teachings effectively on the global stage.
Through debate training based on discussions commonly experienced overseas, students develop the ability to present arguments, build logical reasoning, and respond effectively to opposing views.
Professional English Skills
Students acquire practical communication skills needed to succeed globally, beginning with essential conversational abilities and advancing to negotiation, facilitation, coaching, and effective responses to complaints and criticism.
Black Belt English Plus
Using Black Belt English as the textbook, students develop the ability to understand global affairs, engage in discussions, and express their opinions effectively. In class, students give presentations and discuss topics related to international affairs, exploring questions such as “What is happening in the world, why is it happening, and what should the future look like?” through collaborative discussion.

Two-Year Short-Term Program for Developing Global Professionals
The Two-Year Short-Term Program for Developing Global Professionals is a distance learning program (with the option to attend classes on campus) designed for working adults. Over a period of two years, students acquire the English skills and broad knowledge necessary to become globally-minded professionals through English courses, Happy Science teachings courses (such as Introduction to the Happy Science teachings), and liberal arts courses (such as the Happy Science Theory of Success).
This program is designed to allow students to continue their studies while working.
